Surviving the Living Dead
“Clink”
another shell dropped to the ground as I took out another walker. There
were three of them but they were no match for my military grade mp5k
suppressed. By the time the walkers noticed that there buddy had just
been shot it was too late for the other two. It was just another day in
this world.
It
felt like it was so long ago since the outbreak of the virus but I know
it had only been about 4 months. Who would have thought that the world
could come crashing down in just 4 months. I remember the day I had my
first encounter with a walker.
It was in the middle of summer; I was petting my dog and a walker came out of nowhere and charged my front door. A thousand shards of glass clattered to the ground. I looked to see what it was and the walker charged me. When I saw the walker animal instincts and adrenaline kicked in. I no longer became myself, instead I was a lethal assassin. I rushed into my kitchen and summoned a knife out of my drawer. Then I quickly turned around and stuck the walker right in the head.
After my first encounter with the walker, my family and I watched the news. The news was saying that if you were bit then you would turn into a walker. So my family and I went to my grandparents house in eagle river. We all had a gun because my great uncle jimmy gave us all one for protection. After about a month, we got overran. About a hundred zombies came, so my family ran to our boat. I was a little behind because I ran into a zombie and had to kill it.
By the time I got to the docks my family had already left. So I turned around and I gunned most of the zombies down. Eventually I ran out of ammo and had to go to work with my knife. I eventually got away and ran into my uncles house. I grabbed a backpack of ammo, a combat knife, water bottles, food, a german WWII mauser with a scope, and matches. I then borrowed my grandpa’s car and took off. I guess I will just have to survive the living dead.
