Imagine being glorified, having everyone you know love you
and be proud of you. Imagine saving the world and how great it must feel. In The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan Frank
Zhang saved the world and was glorified when he returned from his quest.
Although he was a hero, he didn’t start out that way.
Frank had always been the outcast of the camp. His parents
hadn’t claimed them yet and nobody respected him. Frank didn’t even see himself
fit for the camp. He always felt uncomfortable and clumsy with all of the tasks
and exercises.
When frank wasn’t claimed by a god after a couple years
almost everybody lost faith in him. They all thought he was the weakest of the
group, the clumsiest of the group, the dumbest of the group. Whenever people
were sent on heroic missions to fight monsters and save people he had to stay
back and mop up floors. When Frank was chosen to go on a mission for the first
time it was the happiest day of his life. Although he wasn’t sure of himself he
finally had a chance to prove himself. When Frank was on the mission his godly
father claimed him. Then he discovered his true ability. He could change his
form to whatever he wanted to. He then killed a giant and nearly sacrificed his
own life to free the grim reaper.
The quest changed franks life forever. He went from a zero
to a hero. Frank no longer cleaned up camp, but he now protected it. He also
found his true power and was claimed by his father. Now that he completed his
task everybody was proud and honored to know frank.
